Control Systems Engineer – DCS / SCADA / PLC Projects
Location: Teesside, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool, etc
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

This established control systems company delivers high-quality DCS, SCADA, and PLC automation solutions to the chemical, process, and petrochemical industries. With a strong pipeline of UK-based projects, they’re looking to add a skilled Control Systems Engineer to their growing team.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of control systems projects, including:
- Designing and delivering PCS7 DCS systems
- Programming Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal, S7, Step7
- Configuring WinCC HMI/SCADA systems
- Commissioning control software on well-known UK customer sites
- Occasionally working with other DCS platforms such as Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB (though PCS7 is the primary system used)
This is a hands-on role where you’ll see your work come to life on real-world industrial sites.

Candidate Profile
- Experience in DCS project design, ideally with PCS7
- Strong PLC programming skills, especially with Siemens TIA Portal
- Confident in commissioning control systems software
- Based in or near Teesside, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool, or surrounding areas
- Willing to travel to UK customer sites
